US Poker Sites
Since the wire act was passed some online poker rooms pulled out of the US market because they were afraid they would get penalized by the US for not complying with the law.
Left remaining are the US Poker Sites like Pokerstars and Full Tilt. It has become a bit harder to get money online since the wire act is prohibiting transfers between online gambling sites and U.S banks, but not impossible!
There is a lot of confusion amongst online gamblers, specifically concerning the Wire Act. There have been rulings by judges in some states, that ruled “that poker is a game of skill and not a game of chance, therefore it is not gambling and cannot be controlled by the Wire Act”.
The general consensus is that it Is not illegal to play online poker for citizens of the United States of America. Unless of course it is prohibited by state law. So check what state law applies to you first before you make any assumptions, better be safe then sorry!!!
There are many different ways to get money online for US citizens and these can be found by doing a google search to find out more on how to do it.
But in general you should not be too worried, two of the biggest poker sites are US poker sites, offering fantastic poker bonuses and even a free poker eCourse to improve your poker skills.
Some options for getting money online are Visa Gift Cards, Netspend, Western Union, Moneygram, eChecks.
